Dr Navin Devkota is consultant neuro-psychiatrist, currently based in Kathmandu Valley. Dr Devkota graduated MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from the Institute of Medicine, Maharajgunj Campus in 2014. Dr Devkota completed his MD (Doctor of Medicine) in Psychiatry from the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS, Bir Hospital). Dr Devkota, working for a long time in the only central pioneer institute for mental illness in Nepal i.e. Mental Hospital, has been handling simple to complex and resistant cases as well as referral cases (Anxiety, Depression, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, ADHD, Autism, Intellectual Disability and associated behavioral problems, OCDs, Alcohol and other Substance use disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Dementia and old age related psychiatric disorders, Psychosexual Disorders, Somatoform Disorders, relationship issues, headache, anger issues, personality disorders, suicide and self harm and related disorders, stress and burnout, financial stress etc.) throughout the periphery and other institutes inside and outside the country. Dr Devkota has exposure to noble technologies like rTMS (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation for treatment resistant depression and OCD) and tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation).
